                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
                   FINALIZE NECESSARY COMMITMENTS WITH
                   APPROPRIATE ORGANIZATIONS FOR THE CITY OF
                   CHATTANOOGA TO HOST THE WORLD URBAN SUMMIT
                   ON URBAN AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES PRIOR TO
                   THE OLYMPICS IN 1996.

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to finalize necessary commitments with appropriate organizations
       for the City of Chattanooga to host the World Urban Summit on
       Urban and Environmental Issues prior to the Olympics in 1996.
